Situated at the Telaga Harbour, the Italian Restaurant Mare Blu offers a great view of the marina. To escape the tropical heat during lunch time, opt for the indoors with rustic leather chairs, crispy white tablecloths, and walls decorated with atmospheric pastel drawings with motives of Rome and Venice.
The Chef and owner, Tarmizi, prides himself in utilizing exclusively ingredients flown in from Italy or purchased from the local fish and seafood monger. The menu encompasses variety of delicious antipasti from Carpaccio, through mozzarella, to oysters. Lovers of Italian cuisine will be delighted to find a large selection of pizzas and pastas. As for signature dishes: Do not miss the exquisite fried duck breast with warm mango, French beans & orange sauce, or the savory Fisherman Platter for two! Very popular is the Brazilian BBQ with marinated chicken, tasty lamb leg, jumbo sausage, beef kebab and fish fillet, served as long as you have appetite, and cut directly at your table. When it comes to beverage, Mare Blu has probably the most extensive Cocktail Menu on the entire island. With more than 60 intriguing mixtures to choose from, your evening is guaranteed to be a long and memorable one.
