The idea, that Langkawi 'has no Nightlife' comes from the fact, that it is compared to Phuket with
Patong Beach or to Pattaya - in Thailand. And thanks God, we do not have this here.

But if anyone tells you "Langkawi has no Nightlife" - he simply doesn't know better.

We have at the moment about 18 places with Live Music - and 6 of them are real 'Hot Spots' -
and we have several more NightSpots without a band, but good music and real ChillOut qualities.

What IS a NightSpot?

- open at least until 12.00 midnight

 

- makes a special effort to
  entertain the guests and to be a
  good place to come together

 

- is ‘accepted’ as a NightSpot
  by the guests  (Some of the
  Lobby   Lounges of the 
  big resorts are NightSpots – 
  others are not).

Opening Hours

Many night spots will keep the
place open for longer if there
are still a few guests present –
and close earlier, if there
are none left.

 

So the Closing Time is a bit 
flexible. If you are in doubt, 
whether it is still open - 
give them a call first.

The “Big  NightSpots” will be
open more reliably until late, like

What If you have
heard of a NightSpot
and you can not find
it in the NightLife? 

- it might not exist anymore

- it might have changed its
  name

- we might consider the place
  not to be a real night
  spot for some reason….
