MAWSPA EVENT

On Thursday, the 28th July, Charlie’s Place in Royal Langkawi Yacht Club hosted an event organized by the Malaysian Association of Wellness & Spa (MAWSPA). More than thirty Spa owners and Spa Managers took advantage of the opportunity to meet in person the President, Faridah Ahmad Fadzil, Vice President, Dr. Baskaran Kosthi and other members of the MAWSpa Committee.

With Spa and Wellness  recently identified  under the Entry Point Project as one of the Malaysian industries with an enormous growth potential, new government initiatives aim at regulating the industry to ensure international quality standards

The attendees gained valuable information about the planned Spa accreditation process, the changing requirements regarding therapists certification, product registration and further initiatives that are about to take place in the upcoming months.
The event has proven an excellent platform for networking. Enjoying  the relaxed atmosphere along with a delicious refreshment,  Langkawi Spa owners and Spa Managers  had the opportunity to get to know each other,  discuss common challenges, and exchange experience.

Those who were unable to attend are encouraged to visit MAWSPA website: mawspa.org.
Specific questions can be directed at: support@mawspa.org
