FUndraising for Japan in LangkawiA big THANK YOU to all who contributed to the success of the Charity Fund Raising for JAPAN

On the 30th April a charity dinner was held at Chenang Boat Quay restaurant to raise funds for the victims of the 11th March earthquake and devastating tsunami. The event proved to be a huge success with the total raised RM27,768.55. After the charity dinner we kept the money for almost 2 weeks to continue to allow the public to give cash donation. The final funds we raised is RM28,434.00

We had only 3 weeks to prepare the event and its turnout for the night was impressive. The Japanese girls wearing traditional summer kimonos (Yukata), The youngsters,  the live performance, the Chong Wah school action song 'heal the world', the Flaming Matrix fire dance, the 1 minute spiritual moment with Mr. Yogesh were all so beautifully done .

I am truly touched to see a wide range of over 300 people participating at the event. Local & Japanese volunteers from all walks of life offered their services in order to make this event a success and their willingness to give love to the Japan victims. It's was a beautiful evening just as I imagined it to be.

I just can't say thank you enough to all of you being so supportive and generous to share the "love" with us.

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive - Dalai Lama

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
Pat Wright
