Wolf Langenbacher passed away

Wolf Peter Langenbacher who owned the restaurant DOMINO in Kuah, passed away on 25th of last month.
Ha was 72 years old.
He had a stroke and was treated in the Langkawi Hospital, but did not recover.
He owned the DOMINO for 21 years.
Dee, his helper during the last 17 years, goes on with operating the restaurant for the time being, but the future of the DOMINO is uncertain.

Dee has already started to renovate the place, painted the walls and put up new lamps. It allready looks much friendlier now. Next will be the carpet... My feeling is that there are already more guests going there - so we hope the best for Dee.

I too have fond memories of Mr.Wolf. He was always complaining about the delay of City Bayview Hotel launching. He was there even before others were opertaing. Those days we used to play 'sepak takraw' in the middle of the street especially in front of Hai Liang restaurant.
His most memorable comments I can remember was, " Come try our coffee, we have the best on the island" or "Come try our spaghetti, we have the best on the island". I can still remember his tight jeans with shirts tucked in.

zz - what a nice time this must have been - it seems I am always coming to late.
On the other side - there was no internet ...
BTW Dee, the long time helper of Wolf, has taken over, painted the walls and now even removed the antique green carpet and put tiles on the floor. WOW what a change - it certainly looks MUCH better now ....

We have just heard via the Gazette of Wolf's passing. Our condolences to Dee who has been a wonderful help to Wolf during his illness. I hope that the business can be resurected with some sound advice.
