PrintE-mail Langkawi Lagenda Park Re-opens Tomorrow

Langkawi Lagenda ParkMark: 31 March 2010 /Source:Bernama

The Langkawi Lagenda Park which was closed in 2008 for upgrading work, will be reopened to the public Thursday.

Langkawi Development Authority (Lada) public relations officer Ramizi Hasan said the RM5 million upgrading included the installation of street lamps, paving of walkways and construction of ponds.

Admission to the park is free.

He said the park had over 16ha of land which was reclaimed at a cost of RM38 million and was opened by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in 1995.

With what I saw after upgraded, the park seems worse than before. I think there might be a typing error on the figure they spent. Should be RM500.00 NOT RM5 million. Please correct it.

To be fair - I have not yet been there since this costly renovation. I am not a 'park-goer' and my views here might be too personal.
So I do better not comment this...
