The correct sequence for clearing IN at Kuah is:
#1. Harbor Master. #2. Customs. #3. Immigration.
Note: The sequence in Kuah for clearing OUT is
the same, but NOT in Telaga. Please check below.
All 3 are free of charge and in the same building
in Jetty Point near Kuah, a short distance from the
RLYC and easy to reach in dinghy from Kuah Bay.
Upon arrival you will need the following items:
Passport - Crew list - Port Clearance from last port.
Harbour Master: Tel: 04-966 6134
(First floor)..... Open every day 0800 -1730
Customs:
(Ground floor) Open every day 0630 -1900
Immigration:
(Ground floor) Open every day 0800 1900
The stay in Langkawi for your boat is not limited
and is free of charge (if under 15 BRT). If more,
you pay a one time 'Port-Handling Fee' of RM5.
Citizens of most western countries will get a visa
for 90 days. (Note: NOT 3 months).
