About getting a Website on Langkawi

We would like to put out a strong warning
about a certain "Website Designer" on Langkawi.

If you too have been one of his victims, please come forward, so we get a clearer picture of what is happening here.

We will not name him at the moment - but if you are in doubt and suspect you have been cheated by him too, you can ask us and we will confirm or not.

Furthermore we will give you a simple advice, how you can make sure not to be his next victim.

This “Website Designer” has now cheated too many businessmen on Langkawi by selling them websites which not only cost about the double of what one would pay elsewhere – but  which DO NOT WORK PROPERLY.

The last of his products I came across today needs around 20 minutes to open up on a WiFi connection, and still several minutes on a direct line 1MBps connection, something that does simply not work on the NET these days. And once it has opened up - there are several applications that do not work, like the logging in, the picture gallery and the email forwarding . . . (For this small, non working website he charged between 2 and 3000 RM and got it - before it was finished of course).

In all of the 6 cases we know of
- the customer never got the website at all - or
- got a website only after waiting a VERY long time and/or
- got it but it did never function normally and/or
- it was never finished

Furthermore some of the customers who think, that they got at least the C-Right of the website - so not everything would be lost for them - will have to prepare for a big surprise: this Designer uses “flash-templates” - a program that creates the whole website as a single flash file (interactive video).

This means, that even if you download the whole website – you will only get the flash file – and if you or someone else who wants to help you, wants to change a single letter on your website – no one else can ever do it but the creator of the website….
He has to change your site on his computer and to create a new flash file….

If you have a website from this person – just take it as  learning money spent.
And get a new, trustworthy person to do your site.

Here is our very simple ADVICE:

If you plan to trust someone with creating a website for you, make sure
HE GIVES YOU AT LEAST 3 REFERENCES OF PERSOINS WHO HAVE RECEIVED A WEBSITE FROM HIM AND WHO ARE SATISFIED. This Designer will not be able to do this - so you are safe.

NEVER PAY THE WHOLE SUM IN ADVANCE

This article was NOT written to promote our own website production. We have at the moment enough work and do not need more.

We are astonished and annoyed to see that this "designer" finds new victims again and again and nobody stops this completely unethical behavior.
