Community Health Education Program....
As of March, our member Dr Foziah, of Klinik Kuah along with other club ladies, will visit kampongs on a monthly rota to give talks on Breast Cancer Awareness. Dr Foziah will be explaining that Breast Cancer can be prevented and that it is curable if caught and treated in the early stages.
If local ladies are shown how and when to check breasts and to do so on a regular basis then they will be more aware of their breast structure and more likely to recognise any changes and make an appointment to go to the nearest Government Polyklinik for a further appointment and treatment.
9 out of 10 breast lumps are benign, perfectly harmless.
Dr Foziah's first talk will be at the
Surau Kg. Bukit Lembu, Kedawang on Monday March 22nd at 4pm.
Entrance is free and all ladies and spouses are welcome.
April's talk will be held at Kisap - date and actual venue to be confirmed later.
