Now, if you want to spend a few nights in Penang , you can stay comfortably and well cared for in some roomy, well restored antique Chinese shop houses located in the core zone of UNESCO Heritage Georgetown.
“Situated right off the main strand of Penang’s Chulia Street, tucked within Stewart Lane, sits renowned Bon Ton’s latest collection of 5 adjoining newly restored Chinese shop houses . . . two houses now operate as one enclave consisting of Kopi Cine café, a public reading & film space and a tea & coffee shop. One of which was a coffee factory; the outmoded machinery used back when, remains in the indoor courtyard by a comfort station, preserved for its historic significance.
