More about Bob McKean
Bob has been on the sea for almost all his life. At a young age, he was a recording engineer aboard ships, for a radio show called "Voice Of The Voyager", which added to his passion for being on the water. In 1986/7 a circumnavigation of Australia on a 46ft ketch included sailing with the spectator fleet during the America's Cup in Fremantle, then across the stormy Southern Ocean to Sydney 
.
That was followed by extensive cruising for 3 years through most of the South Pacific and then eventually he sailed west and arrived in
Malaysia and Thailand in 1990. While living in this
region for 19 years he operated a charter company in Phuket and supervised bookings for hundreds of
customers on their charter sailing holidays.
With over 25 years experience of sailing on many types of vessels, (some shown here), he returned to yacht brokerage and charters in Langkawi and to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this tropical paradise.
