PrintE-mail Pei Juan's Farewell Dinner at Lobster Village

30 December 2009, Tuesday

Langkawi Gazette - Five Happiness (www.sweetnov86.blogspot.com)Pei Juan and her family were about to move to Alor Setar. So, the day before she left Langkawi we treated her a nice farewell dinner at Lobster Village. We were arranged to be seated in a private air-conditional room, a tv screen on the wall and a VCD player which we could play songs while enjoying our meal.

Five Happiness

The first dish was Five Happiness. It consisted of Mango Salad, Deep-fried Battered Fish, Dried Chili Chicken, Spring Rolls and Omelet. They were all very good, especially the Dried Chili Chicken.

Mixed Vegetables

Served in a big claypot were Bok Choy, several types of mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, sea cucumber and more. This dish was normal but a lot of ingredients were provided.

Langkawi Gazette - Sweet & Sour Red Snapper (www.sweetnov86.blogspot.com)
Sweet and Sour Deep-fried Red Snapper

I loved this dish! The meat was thickly sliced off from the bones, lightly battered and deep fried till crispy perfection. Lastly, the golden brown fish fillets were drizzled with their special sweet and sour sauce which made the dish so delectable.

Ying Yang Chicken and Duck Meat

Came with two types of meat of different cooking methods, this dish became one of unique dishes that night. The duck meat was nicely roasted and the chicken was cooked in tantalizing plum sauce.

Prawn Salad

This was a very special dish which included fresh steamed prawns, cubed green apples, oranges, raisins and topped with a lot of Mayonnaise sauce. It's very appetizing!

Langkawi Gazette - Fried Rice (www.sweetnov86.blogspot.com)
Fried Rice

This fried rice the best one I had so far! Sufficiently seasoned, enough wok hei, and also laden with ingredients like chicken, prawns, onions, eggs, and don't forget the fried shallots. Yummy~

Langkawi Gazette - Desserts (www.sweetnov86.blogspot.com)
Desserts

To end our meal, we had fresh local fruits and canned longan. Well, the desserts were common but the moments I spent with my friends having this delightful dinner were truly precious.
