On the first day WJ came to visit me in July, I brought him to Syook Café for lunch. This café has been doing well for the past 5 years, and it is still attracting a lot of locals and foreigners. Syook Cafe is open-air and it’s a great place for those who fancy a cuppa in the afternoon, some satay after meal, or a delightful western dinner.
WJ had Iced Lemon Tea to quench his thirst.
As a chocolate lover, I went for Chocolate Milkshake. It was very chocolaty and served with a chocolate lover letter and some whipped cream on top. It’s best to finish it once served as it got very watery after some time I left it untouched while I had my food.
For appetizer, we ordered Mushroom Soup to share. It was homemade and what appealed me were the crispy bread croutons, which were floating on top of the thick and creamy mushroom soup.
For the mains, WJ opted for Hawaiian Pizza. It was topped with chunks of chicken, pineapple cubes, green capsicums, olives and topped with mozzarella cheese. The taste was not bad but the pizza base was a little burnt.
Grilled BBQ Chicken
I decided on Grilled BBQ Chicken. A nicely marinated chicken breast served with ample of French fries and steamed vegetables. The chicken was flavoursome, excitingly tangy, pleasantly sweet and adequately salty.
We ended the meal with Fruit Salad. The plate was laden with abundant amount of fresh assorted fruits like oranges, apples, watermelons, grapes and honeydew melons; served with a dash of appetizing salad dressing.
